Community Activities

Coronavirus Service Update: Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus situation, our Community Activities have been cancelled since lockdown began. However, as the lockdown restrictions ease, we are constantly reviewing and planning in conjunction with our volunteers and venues to make sure we can get our Activities Programme up and running again as soon as possible. We are therefore delighted to announce that we are able to start our Town & Country Walks, with our Batsford Country Walk starting in July and our Moreton Town Walk starting in August. See our Gentle Walking page for details. Please check back regularly for more information on our other activities. In the meantime, volunteers are also Telephone Befriending people who normally attend Community Activities to keep in touch and some of our Lunch Club pubs have been doing a fantastic job cooking meals to be delivered to people at home. Shopping and medication deliveries are being arranged as needed. We have also announced the launch of our new Community Activities Newsletter which has been hand delivered to over 1,000 clients and to all of our volunteers and is full of ideas and activities for keeping active from home, including a new Jigsaw Club. Click here to take a look at Issue One of the newsletter. Click here to find out more about the Jigsaw Club. Hoping to see you all soon!

Getting together with friends and neighbours is a vital part of happy, healthy communities. At Cotswold Friends we support lots of local groups including Lunch Clubs, Craft and Chat, Men-in-Sheds, Community Singing, Walking Football, Walking Netball and Gentle Walking.
