We were delighted to welcome BBC Radio Gloucestershire to our Men-in-Sheds group in Moreton-in-Marsh, where some of our shedders shared their personal experiences of living alone. The visit formed part of Nicky Price’s Thriving Solo series, exploring how people can live well while on their own.

Our shedders spoke openly about their journeys, how they came to be living solo, and the positive impact Men-in-Sheds has had on their lives — from maintaining structure and routine, to building new friendships and feeling connected within their community. It was a powerful reminder of how important welcoming, local groups can be in helping people thrive.
