April News from Cotswold Friends

As spring blossoms around the Cotswolds, we’re delighted to share some of the wonderful things that have been happening here at Cotswold Friends over the past month. From community events to exciting new arrivals, it’s been a busy and heart-warming time for our team, volunteers, and clients.
Chastleton Teas & Coffee Morning Success
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Chastleton Teas event—it was a great success, raising over £700 to support our work! The delicious cakes, warm cups of tea, and great company made for a truly lovely afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Allen and Sons Coffee Morning also went down a treat, raising nearly £500. We’re so grateful to everyone who came along, donated, and helped make these events so special.
Spring Newsletters on the Way
Our Spring newsletters have begun arriving on doorsteps across the area, bringing the latest updates and stories to our clients. A heartfelt thanks goes to our fantastic volunteers who are out delivering them—you’re the reason our community feels so connected.
Meet Our New Minibus!
We’re thrilled to share that we’ve taken delivery of our brand-new minibus! It’s already looking right at home, and we’re currently busy giving it a bit of a Cotswold Friends makeover with our branding. We’re also in the process of choosing a name—watch this space for more news soon!
Creative Sparks in Men in Sheds
Our Men in Sheds members have been getting creative with their laser engravers, producing some stunning pieces. They’ve even received commissions from local residents and businesses, which is a fantastic testament to their skills and creativity. Well done, team!
Strengthening Communities in Bourton
In April, we proudly took part in the Strengthening Communities event in Bourton-on-the-Water. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, share what we do, and celebrate the strength and spirit of our local community.
Staff Updates
We’re delighted to welcome Holly, our new Office Administrator, to the team! She’s settling in brilliantly and already making a big difference behind the scenes.
Also, a warm shoutout to Fran, our new CAP (Community Activities Project) Worker, who is really hitting her stride in her new role. We’re so lucky to have both of them on board.
