Moore Friends support our Bourton Community Day Club

We are extremely grateful to the Trustees of Moore Friends, who have approved a grant of £2,500 for our Community Day Club in Bourton on the Water.

It is one of two Day Clubs run by our charity, the other being held at Moreton in Marsh. The Club offers companionship and activities, helping to alleviate loneliness and isolation, benefiting people with memory loss, and offering respite time for carers.

The Bourton Day Club offers a day service for individuals who want some group contact and activity outside their home.

The Club is open to all older and vulnerable individuals in the area who would normally be isolated and alone in their homes, supporting those with memory difficulties.

A variety of activities are arranged, including singing (led by volunteers who run our Community Activities Singing group), nostalgia chats, art/craft with different topics (e.g. Easter or Christmas crafts and card-making), seated physical workouts, memory games and puzzles.

The Moore Friends Trustees reported that they were very pleased to learn of the increasing membership and they have received very positive feedback from volunteers and participants.

Thank you to Moore Friends for supporting our work.
