Community Day Club Co-ordinator

We are looking for a caring and motivated individual to run our Community Day Club twice a month in Bourton-on-the-Water. Our Day Club supports individuals who may have a long-term health condition or a physical disability. The Day Club helps to promote well-being and reduce social isolation, as well as supporting carers by helping them to take a break whilst their cared-for attends. The maximum number of attendees is 12 to 14. This role is fully supported by our Support Services Manager and staff, plus a team of volunteers.

Main purpose of the role:

· Ensure that everyone feels welcome and included at the Day Club and enjoys attending

· Be responsible for the safeguarding and health and safety of clients whilst at the Day Club.

· Keep client personal details up to date and complete club registers, liaising with the Support Services Manager.

· Develop and co-ordinate a variety of activities to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients.

· Maintain a calendar of planned activities, ensuring these are well-balanced and cater to different interests and abilities.

· Encourage individual participation in activities and assist and support as needed.

· Offer support to volunteers helping at the Day Club, and clearly delegate all tasks to be carried out.

· Organise and oversee the preparation of a light lunch for attendees.

· Organise and participate in group outings, with the support of Community Transport and the volunteer and staff team.
